At my old job, they said “q-line”. I fruitlessly tried to explain that “queue” is french for line so we were saying line twice, but no one cared.

I’ve probably ranted about this before but I think it’s ridiculous. Like, que is not even a word in English. It’s sometimes slang for barbeque, but que by itself when not being referred to deliciously cooked food products is not a word. It is a Spanish word but no one here speaks Spanish aside from the ~40 words I can throw together. They don’t understand my frustration. I’ve even ranted about it in meetings. It just makes people seem dumb when they can’t even get that right. 

People just need to pick up a fucking dictionary. Or learn how to go to Google and search for “define THE FUCKING WORD YOU WANT TO DEFINE.” The world would be a better place if people could just get a basic grasp of the language they speak.
